COURSE CLOSED THIS WEEK END
When will it all end!
As we grow even more frustrated with our golf withdrawal symptoms the wet weather goes on.
An inspection of the course on Thursday was a saddening experience with the ground in a boggy almost un-walkable condition. No way is the course playable at the moment and all we can do is annoyingly accept it.
Thinking forward to some sort of drainage ideas for 2016 cores were taken on holes 14 – 5 – 4 – 6 and 8 and the findings were that hole four had 40mm of top soil and the rest of the cores showed no top soil at all, just nice red clay!
So as we know the course is built on clay — allegedly the best drainage material to work with.
Now is not a good time to remind members that the (not increased)£30 levy is now due!
